Today the bedroom is a room that many people choose to renew and make extra nice. After a time with focus on kitchens and bathrooms it feels refreshing to concentrate on a room where one spend at least one third of the days of a life time. An inspiration is the Master bedrooms, bedrooms adjacent to a walk in closet and a large bathroom with a lovely bathtub.

The bed becomes really inviting if you use bedding you really like and plenty of nice shams in different sizes, among which you can lay down and really relax. Choose a type of bedding that makes you happy and avoid too many colours if you are searching for a calm and relaxing feeling.

Relaxing calming bath

When me and my family was planning our largest bath room we all agreed that we wanted it to feel as a big spa and that the bathtub would have a central place in the room. I am not a fan of different jacuzzi tubs with jet streams and many different functions. Instead I prefer to lie down in nice warm water in an large and calm bathtub like the one in the picture.

Then I use fragrant candles and calming bath salts to make the whole bath even more relaxing. In the end I want to embrace myself in really soft and white terry towels.

How to make your bed perfect

The bed set Park Avenue from Millefeuille, newly ironed and ready to use


I really enjoy sliding down between newly ironed and freshly fragrant linen. Even if the ironing means extra work it is well worth the effort. There is a large difference between sleeping in smooth shiny and wrinkle free linens compared with wrinkled and matte linens. The bed also looks better when the linens look good, it becomes an important design detail in your bed room. I recommend you to have at least some sets to change between then you can always have ironed and maybe lavender scented linen ready to use.

Morning training in the pool

Whenever I have time I take the chance to train before breakfast. One of my favourite training forms is swimming alone in the morning in a nice pool.  During the training I have time to plan the day and relax at the same time. Then I arrive fresh and healthy to my breakfast.

Jolie, the negligé for sweet dreams

Some time ago we launched our much longed for collection of negligés. The collection is called Jolie and consists of beautiful negligés in baby doll model. Jolie is made in 100 % silk and has lovely spaghetti straps.

Jolie comes in the colours white and cream white and will soon also come in black and dark blue.
The sizes are small, medium and large.

Fashion inspirations

Something to be inspired by.....

Many are those fashion designers that are inspired by everyday things. A colour, a thing or something that happens can be the start of a whole new collection. Then people will buy the clothes and that original idea will affect the whole world.

During a fashion show it is always exciting to see the new trends and to hear the story behind the collection. The surrounding interior and the music makes the whole show even more inspiring. Like Louis Vuittons spring collection 2012 where Marc jacobs let the models sit on a carousel with prancing white horses and to the sound of a music box melody, beautiful! Another example is Karl Lagerfelds Chanels spring 2008 collection where the models walked around a 75 feet tall white Chanel jacket, simply stunning. If you do not have the possibility to watch the shows live many designers shows them on their home pages as well.

Good inspiration is important and at Millefeuille we work in the same way. We see something beautiful that inspires us and then we transform this idea to our bed linen. We produce samples which if they become fine then becomes new collections.
