How to care for exclusive bed linen

When you buy high quality bed linen you want them to last for many years to come. These recommendations will assure that they look as good when they are several years old as when they were brand new:

As soon as the fabric gets dirty it shall be washed otherwise the stains can stick to the fabric and be very hard to remove. Be careful to read the temperature recommendations and always wash your bed linen inside out to protect the right side of the fabric.

Try to wash similar colours together and remind that  the colder the wash the better the colours remain. Avoid using bleaching products.

Iron when the fabric still is damp or use a steam iron then it is easier to avoid wrinkles.


Store your bed linen folded in a linen closet or similar - and why not add beautiful and fragrant lavender satchels for a wonderful scent.

Coco Chanel once said  "A women who doesn't wear perfume has no future".  I am also a fan of perfume. It is wonderful to find the perfect scent and vaporize it around you. Perfume is the one thing that completes your outfit. Without perfume I feel naked and the smell of a wonderful perfume makes me smile. I also like that I can choose perfume for different occacions. One perfume that is right for one occasion or activity may not suit another one. I also like the beautiful bottles that the perfumes are delivered in. They often look great in the bath room or bed room and I like to see them so I seldom put them away out of sight.

My intention when I started Millefeuille was to create beautiful bed linen in the best of quality. Even before I started my company there were beautiful bed linen to choose from but many of them did not live up to the high quality I preferred. For example some of them had loose threads already when they were unpacked for the first time. Some lost their colours already after the first washing. It could also be that the threads in their embroideries and other applications loosened after they were used only a few times. That is not what features an exclusive product.

In my company I have during several years searched for the best manufacturers of fabrics in the world, they are all as I have found out Italian and they all have many years of experience. I have also searched for the best manufacturers of threads, threads  that shall be both soft and comfortable when they are used in the seams as well as strong and withstanding. All manufacturing is based on my design both regarding the construction of the bed linen as well as the applications as hemstitch, embroideries and patterns. Also the best manufacturers I have found reside in Italy in highly renowned companies with skilled artisans that have many years of experience and a fantastic eye for details. These are the only manufacturers that have  lived up to my high expectations.

Millefeuilles bed linen are not cheap, this is because my goal is not to produce a product that is simply cheap and not good. I have already since I founded my company focused on creating the best bed linen possible- both regarding the quality and the design. The price depends on both that I use very high quality fabrics in all my products and also because embroideries and other applications are constructed in a way so they will be perfect in every detail. When you buy a product from Millefeuille you can be sure that it will stand the test of time both regarding the design and the quality. You will be able to wash it again and again for several years to come and the product will stay as good as it was form the beginning. I believe much more in these kind of products in the long run compared with cheaper products that you have to exchange more often.

Cruise collection

Many of the well known high fashion houses have cruise/resort collections, one of my favourites this year is the one from Chanel. The show was held at Versailles and both the clothes and the surroundings were absolutely fabulous. I am now planning to introduce resort collections at Millefeuille as well. It will include bed linen, towels and robes suitble for you to bring when you are going on a cruise or travel to a warm nice place during the cold winter months.

Ocean of flowers

Flowers are lovely and today I have been wading in them trying to choose the best and the most beautiful of them for one of our upcoming advetrisement campaigns. I love for example roses, hydrangeas, peonies, lavender and lilies. It is hard to choose when there are so many beautiful to choose from but I think I ended up with a good selection.

For me high quality is a products where every detail is perfect. When I started Millefeuille I was already from the beginning determined to find the best materials and the best artisans with an eye for perfection. I also decided that everything around the product should breathe high quality- from the information around the product, the buying process and the delivery of the product. That is why we for example deliver every bed set  wrapped in beautiful silk paper and placed in a nice white box with ribbons around. We also want to give our customers something extra beoyond the product for example beautiful silk lavender satchels, fragrant candels or silk lingerie boxes.
We also contact every customer some time after the delivery and ask them if they are satisfied with our products. Our customers are very important to us and it would be rather ignorant of us if we did not gave them a chance to tell us what they think of our products.
